Soundbit / Community publishing
A shared frequency.
Share what you have permission to share.
Publish audio you created or have permission to distribute publicly. Respect copyright, the privacy of people in recordings, and your community. Don’t upload unlawful content, threats, harassment, or someone’s private information without permission.
Publishing means public.
Your audio, title, description, chosen public name, and publication date appear on Soundbit. Anyone can listen, share the link, and download the audio. You keep ownership of your work; by publishing, you permit Soundbit to store and serve it to listeners.
You control your recordings.
You can remove recordings published through your contributor profile from your studio. Removal stops future access from Soundbit, though cached copies may take a few minutes to expire and copies already downloaded cannot be recalled. The Soundbit owner can remove recordings that don’t belong here.
A little room for everyone.
Each file can be up to 90 MB. Each contributor can publish up to 5 recordings and 250 MB per day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. Supported formats are MP3, M4A / MP4 audio, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC, and WebM. Playback varies by browser and codec; MP3 is the most portable choice.
Your account and privacy.
ChatGPT handles sign-in, including its available social account options. Soundbit receives your account identity and email to recognize you; we don’t collect your password. We store your account identifier, chosen public name, registration agreement, upload usage, and recording details. Your email and account identifier are not included in public recording listings.
